KOJI ISHIKAWA was born at Tsuwano
(Shimane Prefecture) in 1949.
When he was a university student
(Fukuoka University of Education),
he encountered a campus dispute.
At that time there was the radical movement
to find out what a university ought to be in almost
not only the campus dispute
but also social problems caused by the high growth of Japanese economy.
To make his artistic illustrations public
in succession was his only solution
to the various problems with which he had to wrestle
in those days.
After disappointment at student riots,
he entered the amazing world-ART.
